Rise Measurement
The rise measurement is done by measuring from above the logo label above the fly down to the spot where
the crotch seam crosses the inside leg seams, and then up the back to a spot above the waistband above
the care/size label.
Lay a yard stick at the edge of a table, hold the boxer near the logo label and, with the other hand,
at the crossing of the crotch and inside leg seams, take a measurement. Flip the boxer over and take
another measurement from the crotch crossing spot to the point above the care/size label at the top
of the waistband. Add these two measurements together. This will give you the rise measurement. The boxer
short should not be stretched in order to get this measurement, just gently pulled.
Since we will be offering 'tall' and 'short' rise starting in 2008, you will see that measurements are
scarce for 'tall' and 'short' rise boxer shorts. Of course, over time, we will update these measurement
files to fill in what we do not presently have.
So, in the meantime, you can use the Normal Rise measurement as your guide, with the following information
kept in mind. As for 'tall' and 'short' rise boxer shorts, the rise will increase or decrease, respectively,
by 1 1/2 inches. The waistband tightness measurement will not be affected. The leg opening measurement will
not be affected. The inseam measurement will not be affected. The outer leg measurement will increase by
3/4 inch for a 'tall' rise boxer, and decrease by 3/4 inch for a 'short' rise boxer. The fly opening
measurement will increase by 1/2 inch for a 'tall' rise boxer, and decrease by 1/2 inch for a 'short' rise
boxer.
